There was one man with beard on counter C, very rude and highly uninformed about the process, he was unclear that if my baby is born in india so does it qualifies for him to be an indian citizen or not. I applied for passport under tatkal and everything was done in just 4 days 20 September September. They actually want to see the verification certificate if you are applying under tatkal category in addition to 3 out of 16 documents.
Although I was not having any verification certificate Annexure B with me on 20th, I wrote a letter addressed to APO about it after explaining what I was following is as per the requirements mentioned online as per the PSK portal. He accepted the letter and approved it after verifying the Aadhar, PAN and Election ID from the respective sites meant for verification.
He agreed to proceed with my application for tatkal with the 3 documents submitted instead of the verification certificate. Rest was quite good and quick. On 23rd September I got the passport via speed post. Just keep everything in place, reason well when necessary and ensure your names and addresses on all the documents required are the same. The staff both TCS one and governmental one is cooperative.
Staff is really good and helpful, important note- if you mentioned that you are 10th passed then in your 10th certificate name should be the same in all your documents like aadhar card or pan card even fathers name and mothers name should be the same in all the documents.
The will not accept 10th Marksheet. I have been to this office thrice, every time i went there i have faced one or another issue,for all readers for passport renewal or PCC, u need to carry both the application and payment printout, else you need to slog to get it from the nearby shop.
PARKING : parking space is enough and they dont charge, so please do not park on road rather park inside the premises and save others time and keep your car safe and secure4. TIME: most importantly, please dont think that you will be free quickly, it is a time taking process and you should take time in hand. I have visited it 2 times. Very good passport related services. Send individuals for re appointments without a second thought. My first appointment was so bad i felt i was being treated as if i were uneducated and their behavior was inhumane. My second appointment was better and good for them otherwise they would have had it.
Though they again acted as if it was hard for them to see the same individual twice!! Timings available are bad you lose out a whole day of work since thney take 2 hours for a 10 minute job. The experience is swift and smooth. It will hardly take 30 mins for the whole procedure if you have all your docs ready.
Great staff, very helpful, especially the security team personnel Yogendra Singh is super helpful. Not so gud with the front offc executives. Overall the process has improved A LOT. And thats all for the day. Now, the painful part And it could be me only. Wifes passport is abt to be delivered printing stage while it still shows application submitted with reqd docs and applicable fees for me and the kids.
